Ready to get my groove back

We’ve decided to take a break from the million little projects around the house this weekend.  Since my scrapbooking space is all set up and ready to go, I’ve made some time for myself to sit down, use it and enjoy.

I’m STILL not done my parents’ cruise album, but I’m not going to work on it this weekend.  I get too frustrated and bored with it as I mentioned before.  I think working on something of my own where I can use lots of kits and do some embellishment and fun stuff will really help me get my groove back.

Tonight, I have a few more back episodes of Scandal to get caught up on, so I have a date in my scrap room with Netflix and a notebook.  I’m going to update and refresh my scrapping goals and to-do list with a list of all the projects I have on the go, ones I want to do, and a few things I need to complete organization-wise to finish the room off completely.

Then tomorrow evening, I promised Miss A we’d spend some time looking at pictures.  She’s been asking ever since I unpacked my scrapbooks but we haven’t had a lot of time to really sit and enjoy them.  Once she’s in bed, I’m going to settle in with a glass of wine and enjoy a couple of hours playing with pretty paper!  On Sunday, my husband has a day with Miss A planned, so they’re out of the house and again, I get some quiet time in my room.

I’m really looking forward to this, and am going to try really hard to not end up frittering the time away on other stuff like I sometimes manage to do.
